Returns, Exchanges & Refund

Maneesha Ruia endeavors to ensure that every transaction on our website is seamless. We take great care in delivering our products and adhere to the highest quality standards.

That said, each exquisite creation by Maneesha Ruia is hand-dyed and thereafter meticulously handcrafted. As a result, there may be slight variations in color, dimensions, and the application of embellishments from piece to piece. This adds to the uniqueness of a Maneesha Ruia piece and should not be viewed as a flaw.

Furthermore, we strive to capture the essence and hues of each product through our photography. However, please know that the color in the images displayed on our online store may vary slightly from image to image and / or from the actual product, for each product. This may be because the images for each product may have been photographed outdoors and / or indoors and hence, the color of each image of each product, may vary under different lighting, natural or otherwise. Additionally, the colors in each image may vary in how they look from device to device as well.

Returns

As a policy, we do not offer returns on products that are delivered in good condition and as per the order placed. However, we do offer an option of an exchange (please read the below sub- section on Exchanges for more details).

That said, if a product is wrongfully delivered (a wrong SKU was delivered and not as per the order placed) or has a genuine quality / manufacturing defect (photographic proof required and accepted by Team Maneesha Ruia) then we are open to extending a full refund, exchange for another product (accounting for any price variation from the original product ordered, if any) or re-fulfilling your order (if the same item is available or can be made within a reasonable time frame).

To return a wrongfully delivered product or a defective / damaged in transit product or report a missing product, please follow the below steps:

1. Double-check your package and its contents and make a note of any tampering with the package, missing item(s), defective / damaged product(s) or wrongly delivered product(s). Take photographs of the tampered package, defective / damaged and / or wrongfully delivered product(s), as the case may be.

2. In the case a customer feels that the package has been tampered with or damaged in transit, please mention details about the same on the delivery receipt of our shipping partner instead of signing it as ‘received’.

3. Get in touch with our Customer Service team within 48 hours of receipt of the package. We may be contacted via:

4. Send us all details that are relevant to the issue, including but not limited to photographs of the tampering / defect / damage, as mentioned above, your order number, date of transaction, and delivery address. The more details a customer sends the quicker will be the resolution, if any is deemed necessary.

5. Our Customer Service team will review the issue on its merits and will revert appropriately within 2-3 working days. Each request is handled on a case-to-case basis. Necessary action, if any, will be taken promptly thereafter. Rest assured, any genuine request will be honored.

6. For any return that is accepted by us, the applicable product(s) will need to be returned in their original packaging making sure that all tags, labels, and the branded carry pouch are intact and returned. The refund, where applicable, will be made back to the same account or credit card from where the payment was originally made.

Exchanges

As of March 20, 2024, if a customer is not happy with their purchase, we now offer an exchange for the same if the exchange request is made within 3 (three) calendar days from the date of delivery of the product (as recorded and notified by our logistics partner DHL).

1. This exchange is only valid for an exchange with a product available on the website (accounting for any price variation, if applicable).
a) If the price of the new product is higher than the original product, the customer will be required to pay the difference before shipping the new product.
b) If the price is lower, the customer will get a store credit for the difference amount that can be used towards future purchases within 3 months of receiving the new product.

2. Alternatively, the customer may opt to take the full amount against the original product as store credit. This credit will lapse after 3 months of receiving the original order.

For any such exchange request, the original purchase will need to be returned to an address in New York, NY, at the customer’s cost, and in its original packaging, making sure that all tags, labels, and the branded carry pouch are intact and returned. The original purchase must also be unworn, unwashed, and undamaged. The new product will only be shipped once the original product has been received in its original condition, as mentioned above, by Maneesha Ruia at its NY address. The customer will also be responsible for the freight charges for the new product from the store to the customer’s delivery address.

No refunds would be given nor returns / exchanges accepted if the customer has provided a wrong or incomplete shipping address resulting in 3 failed delivery attempts by our shipping partner.

No refunds would be given nor returns / exchanges accepted if the customer refuses to pay the Import Duty / Taxes, as may be applicable, as mandated by the respective country where the customer has asked for delivery and doesn’t accept / collect his / her / their order from our shipping partner.
